Norwegian here. I received a very large UPS bill (€230, or 2500 NOK), 11 months after purchasing my FP5. I don’t understand why, and I can’t see that anyone else has posted about this online. I am worried (or hoping?) it is a scam, so I have not paid it. It says the deadline is “15 days” after invoice date, but I received it three weeks after the supposed invoice date listed on the bill. We contacted UPS, and it seems to be a real bill, as they had it registered, but it seems very suspicious to get it now.
I have contacted customer service at FP via submission form. Hope to hear back soon…
Anyone else have this issue?
Could you post a ascreenshot of the email with the sender email visible?
Sounds very suspicious, I wouldn’t 'pay it either until clarified.
Is there any connection to Fairphone on the bill, why do you connect it to your Fairphone purchase? As the bill date is only 3 weeks ago and the Fairphone purchase 11 months ago, I would not connect the order to Fairphone just from your description, therefore the question.
Furthermore, did UPS only confirm the existence of the bill number, or also the amount, the bill date, you as the recipient, Fairphone as the sender?
Maybe someone scamming, using valid shipping numbers?
You could try to be lucky and reach the Fairphone support via chat (short service hours and long waiting times) to have them check the UPS bill number as theirs, and the amount and date as correct. Via contact form will take at least a month
