Hello community,
today I found a headline on distrowatch.com.
So I’m interested in upgrading my FP5 from “/e/OS 2.6.3-t-20241217455358-official-FP5” (Android 13) to the latest version (v2.6.3u; Android 14 (?)), but I don’t exactly know how to proceed.
How to make a full backup, so that I can restore my device if the upgrade fails?
Should I follow this instruction?
How can I restore all my apps after a successful upgrade?
Do you recommend this upgrade at all?
BTW, I have a laptop here running Linux and Windows 11 (dual boot).
Although caring for a backup is always a good thing, I’d recommend in your case to wait until there’s an OTA upgrade from t to u. As your device is a Murena sold device I’d eventually expect this OTA upgrade according to Important Update: /e/OS is moving from AOSP 13 to AOSP 14 for 100 Community devices - #4 by Manoj - Development Updates - /e/OS community
