From the Moments FAQ:
Q: Will the apps selected as my visible apps on the homescreen send me notifications?
No, only apps selected in the settings of your moments will allow you to send notifications, or if one of your included contacts sends your a notification via this app.
As far as I can see though, there is no way to select apps that can send notifications in the settings for a Moment. Am I missing something?
To add to the confusion, when creating a new moment and choosing apps Moments says:
These are the apps you’ll see. Phone calls will still come through as normal.
From testing however, phone calls don’t come through unless the person calling matches the restrictions set in the “Allowed contacts” setting. As far as I can see, this means it’s currently not possible to set up a “Anyone can call me, but notifications from messaging apps don’t show” scenario with Moments.
I talked to support and the said:
At the moment, the only notifications that can get through are your set contacts, and DND should let no other notifications through at all (app notifications that is).
We’re going to double-check and update the support article for the future. At the moment, the only settings you can change are the ones that you see in Switch mode (with the little start sign).
