The power button cover/overlay / button actuator / push-button (the plastic part located over the power button that allows the user to press it from the case’s surface despite the protective case’s additional thickness) of my Fairphone 3+ protective case started getting loose in the past days (could move up and down), and when I removed the phone from the case it fell off.
Can I glue it back? The surface I can put glue on, at the edge of the button cover, is very narrow so that seems difficult. Am I doomed to buy a band new protective case (because Fairphone 3 support is dropped in August) just for that?
In this case, I suppose I should send my old case for recycling to a local waste collection facility as explained on https://support.fairphone.com/hc/en-us/articles/4409533230865-Reuse-and-Recycle-Program-Frequently-Asked-Questions-FAQ ? (since it’s just an accessory, not a phone unit)
For now I have to put it at its expected place, in a loose situation and insert the phone with dexterity without making it fall so it can stand in place, pushed by the phone’s body. But it’s still loose and as soon as I remove the phone, it will fall again.

As you can see, there’s only a narrow edge on which I could put the glue. I also hope that glueing it will not lose flexibility needed to press it and in return push the actual power button on the phone’s side.
