Can this be achieved? I’m asking here because the OS vendor does ultimately control the exact configuration of the Bluetooth stack, so this can theoretically differ from device to device.
Ah, not on FP devices: it appears that although it’s supported by the BT 5.1 specification, that exact aforereferenced ability of the OEM to modify the default AOSP stack means that - because AOSP does not support it - solely Samsung does. If you’re interested, I’ve located Google Issue Tracker, which tracks the implementation of this feature into AOSP itself (and by extension, FP OS).
Afaik there are apps which can do this.
@Volker, do you recommend any?
Unfortunately no. You may search in an app store for e.g. “bluetooth splitter” and it will give you a lot of options. But I’ve never used any of these.
What I’ve used (and could recommend) is “SoundSeeder”. It worked well for me but it’s rather to play sound on multiple devices, connected this way to multiple Bluetooth speakers.
