I’ve just had my Fairphone for a few weeks. I have the email notification disabled in the email app settings, but I’m still getting notifications regardless. Is there any way to stop them? I’m using my Gmail account–not sure if that is relevant.
Do you use the default E-Mail app, or the GMail app?
I’m just using the default Email app.
Maybe you can turn off syncronization somehow?
I am using K9-Mail, so I cannot say how it looks like in the default mail app.

Aren’t the notifications originating from the GMail app? I guess that one hooks into your gmail account as well. Try disablong notifications in the GMail app and see if it helps.

OK, I hadn’t realised the Gmail app was even there! I suspect problem now solved…
