Hey. I have a FP1which has come to the end of its working life, battery has swollen and charging port is not fully functional/loose. I think I got all the info off it before it died, but how can I access notes from the note app which , I hope, are now stored on my Mac? Suggestions gratefully received.

It depends on the backup that you did. The notes app stores its notes in a hidden folder and using the pre-installed backup app doesn’t backup them. (see #dic:backup for more information)
I think that your best chance to get access to your notes is to find someone with a working battery and copy the notes manually. Maybe there are #fairphoneangels in your area?
