I noticed that issue occuring occasionally since i installed the latest security patch (July 5th 2024)
My FP4 runs on Android 13, FP4.TP2I.C.0121.20240626
There must be something more complex going on. Iâm on that same version for some time now and I have not now or ever seen this happen. Maybe there is a common app or setting that all those cases share?
For me this issues occurs when i open Snapchat, use it, then close the app. The green dot stays on until i reboot the phone. Which of course force closes Snapchat and any other app with permission to use the camera hardware.
Same issue here, since about 6 weeks? Full camera symbol. No symbol when sliding down menu. Turned off permissions for most apps. It goes away after restarting but pops up as I use apps. My most used messaging apps are whatsapp, messenger (facebook) and discord.

I canât seem to pinpoint when it happens.
I have now set my permissions to be very restrictive and have rebooted my phone (hence no green icon).
Hopefully thatll do something. It looks a bit like some âshut down cameraâ cammand is not being executed. Or maybe its just an ui bug.
I have the same issue.
I donât use snapchat tho, I donât have it on my phone. I donât have teams either. I think in my case itâs either caused by Whatâsapp or the camera app itself.

I had the same issue for several months, thanks to this forum I realized it was a software issue and not spyware.
Since last update the green dot problem disappeared, everything works as it should.

I also had this problem. But just like @docmart the problem disappeared when my phone updated to build FP4.TP2L.C.0126.20240909.

Had the same problem for months, but after the last update it seems to be solved.

Just appeared on my phone (Build Number: FP4.TP2I.C.0121.20240626) this month (February 2025). Started as a green dot, but now a full camera icon. I donât recall installing any new apps or upgrades prior to this happening. Quite irritating.
