GPS way off the mark

Running /e/OS 2.3-t-20240816426373-partner-FP4 on a 2 months old FP4 and the GPS is way off the mark; using GPS test app and it shows me Latitude 14.67, Longitude 121.04 - can’t navigate anything with it - the Maps application that comes with the phone thinks i’m in the Philippines.

GPS test app on my old (Samsung) phone shows correctly Latitude -33.89, Longitude 151.25 and everything works perfectly.
Wonder if this is a hardware issue or some low level FW bug - any ideas how to get this right?

Sounds like enabled “Fake geolocation” in /e/OS “Advanced Privacy”.

good job Volker, that’s exactly what it was; i have probably ticked it off while exploring all the phone settings and promptly forgot about it;
