Google Play problem

Hello, since the Fairphone update a couple of days ago I haven’t been able to download Google Play again. When I select it in widgets it says ‘Fair phone Updater is updating your operating system in the background. Please wait’ but this has been happening for two days! Does anyone know how I can get Google Play back?
