Gesture Typing is activated but Apps (e.g. WhatsApp) don't implement it

Hi everybody,
I got my new FP yesterday. I am very happy with it.
My Problem is that I loved the Swype typing on my old Samsung Galaxy. The Fairphone offers a “Gesture Typing” option in the Input/Keyboard settings. I activated it but none of my Apps (WhatsApp, Thremaa, Evernote) seem to be able to use it. It is not automatically implemented and I cannot find a way to change the setting from the horribly slow letter-by-letter typing to “gesture typing”.

You’ll have to install the Google keyboard or another keyboard app that supports swype.
