🇬🇧 🇩🇪 Random reboots with (official) Lineage OS?

The Play Store App doesn’t find it, and the Play Store website says it is incompatible with my device and doesn’t let me install it.

This is correct, the hiccup app is an Fairphone app and isn’t supported on LOS… It also wouldn’t be helpful for the development of LOS anyway as the bug reports are sent to Fairphone and LOS is not supported by Fairphone.

Hi,
to analyze the problem, you need the file last_kmsg. These must be provided by Chris.

Steven

Thank you Steven,
How do I find the file last_kmsg? And I don’t understand, why do I
need to find a file from Chris? Who is Chris? Sorry I am out of the
loop.

I suspect this is one of those nasty English problems… I think he means to provide TO Chris

You will find the file under the path /proc/last_kmsg.
Sorry for my english. :grinning:

Hi everyone,
@chrmhoffmann

I’ve got some reboots as well with LOS.

Most of the times is a few minutes after an update.
It’s quite rare but it happens.
Otherwise it’s running smoothly.

You’ll find my last_kmsg.

Hahh :), that’s fine, thanks Steven. I checked, and I only have
/proc/kmsg but no /proc/last_kmsg on my phone… Is there a way to
generate that file?

This file is generated by the system. Can not tell you anything exactly. Sorry.

Hello,

My phone randomly restarted again, and this time I was able to find
/proc/last_dmsg, I’ve pasted the contents here:

https://framabin.org/p/?8e682dd2f9d19337#L35TsumxBR8wDhWD+XGU7brdrgvJsoNyaqCEuD5/MrU=

Is this information what you are looking for? What can I do to
diagnose the problem? Thanks!!

Hello again,

My phone had even more random reboots, and this time the
/proc/last_kmsg looks kind of different:

https://framabin.org/p/?9c42ac4700af993c#Xek41TitpkFIYW17sxaJJTrAqAR92NUXDtq/J8p8yKY=

Is this information helpful? Thanks for your help.

Hi, since some time (I guess som LOS release starting late may, early june, but maybe coincidence) I have to kill the mediascanner after reboot, otherwise the system will reboot. Normally, there also is a last_kmsg there. With consistent errors. Is this more a FP LOS issue, or is it something for LOS Gerrit?
