From e/os to Stock. SPL work around?

Hey dear friends,

I’m currently on /e/os with a security patch of February 5 2026. I would like to switch to the Stock version which has a security patch of 5 of December 2025.

I know I can’t yet switch and lock the bootloader, made that mistake before.

Is there a work around? or do I need to wait for the stock version to release a more recent security patch, and at the same time, avoid updating e/os.

Can I sort of side load a rollback to a previous version of e/os with a lower security patch version and then update to Stock?

What are my options???

If you don’t look the bootloader you can switch now.
And when you have updated in the near future to a security patch beyond February 5th you can choose to lock your bootloader then.

Doesn’t the phone get erased when bootloader is locked/unlocked ?

Like a security feature of sorts

Indeed, locking/unlocking erases a phone for security.
