Edit: in case anyone else runs into this issue, it’s the app “where am I” which appears to cause the issue. Even when I killed the app for some reason it was displaying my location in a transparent box on every screen.
You killed the process, but I guess you should’ve stopped the service. Anyway, I suppose it’s an issue with the app, not with the system. Have you tried in on another phone? Uninstalling the app (dramatically) solves it (
