Yes I’ve seen that. I think it’s a firmware issue because I’ve seen that with all OSes I installed on my FP6: official, LOS 22, LOS 23, LOS 23.1, LOS 23.2.
Oh okay at least I’m not the only one… Hopefully it’s a software bug though; wouldn’t want it to be hardware.
Another issue that may be firmware related : after unlocking the phone, maybe once in 15, the touchscreen is unresponsive during approx 5 seconds
I had this issue on stock android too
And it feels like it happens more frequently since last LOS update
Am i the only one ?
Yes I’ve noticed that too. Was maybe concerned about rain water ingress of the screen. Good to know it’s not just me
Had the exact same problem but only up to and including the update of the 27th of January. I don’t think I’ve noticed it happen on the last LOS update of the 28th of February.
In my case I’m fairly certain it’s not water damage on the screen, so maybe that’s not the problem ![]()
mhh nope, this never happend to me tbh ^^v
Hi,
Had so many times the exact same issue on FairphoneOS, it seems thats updates haven’t fixed it ![]()
I also have this issue on 23.0. The workaround I’ve found is immediately pressing the power button again to turn the screen off and then on again, and then the touchscreen is immediately responsive. In fact I had not noticed that it becomes responsive after 5 seconds because I instinctively applied this workaround.
I just updated. Will see how it goes.
Network traffic monitor is back again in the top status bar!
No and it really doesn’t help anyone if you keep sending links to MERGED patches, they will be included in the next builds anyway.
I just updated to 23.2 (iode 7.3) and now the alert slider settings also randomly switches on the display (showing the slider dialog) additionally together with random vibrations. And happens every few seconds as soon as display is switched off. I needed to turn off the dialog and vibration as workaround now. Anybody observing the same? Maybe this helps debugging at least.
But you are on iodé, not Arian’s LOS, right?
Yes, but from what i can see it is based on @ArianK16a ‘s LOS. Could be different here though. That’s also why I’m asking if you also observe a similar behavior.
No, on LOS this doesn’t happen the way you described it. The options in the slider menu are limited to these ones.
But no matter if I set vibration to the first or second position, there are no random or extra vibrations on screen off.
Yes this is exactly what i am observining with LOS Unofficial V23.2 (and befor)
I have exactly same options in the menu for positions. Additionally there is a switch to show the slider dialog. I think you should have that too.
You’re right, it doesn’t help at all… Sorry…
Thanks for the info! Can we get an update from the community: Who still experiences alert slider issues with the latest build (get it here: Releases · arian-ota/ota · GitHub ), from 2026-03-01?
I would still prefer if this build could go official, since that would enable everyone to get OTA updates seamlessly. This would make future development a lot easier, I think.
If it’s “just” the slider, I think we can live with that for the moment (maybe by displaying an info message once after booting, that the feature is being worked on and a future OTA update will fix it).
The most important thing would be, to me, that we have a usable, modern, “free-as-in-freedom” device with unlockable bootloader to install LineageOS on. Google’s stuff is going to hit us all like a brick, we better get ourselves into position before it happens! Slider is secondary to that, I think.
Maybe everyone can update to your latest 2026-03-01 release and make a list here of which bugs exactly still remain?
This is not how things work at LineageOS. It will be supported once the relevant bugs are sorted out.
But you seem to have misunderstood something, you can use OTA on my unofficial builds just fine.
