FP6 stock Android OS (FPOS) package is missing the "sideload_update.command" file mentioned in the instructions

Short story: I can successfully follow all the steps to try and “OTA sideload” FPOS, however a file “./sideload_update.command" is missing from the FPOS zip file archive, so can’t proceed any further. What am I missing?

Long story:

Wanting to get rid of e OS and test out FPOS, I downloaded the latest FPOS image for FP6:

https://android-builds.fairphone.com/FP6/A15/FP6.QREL.15.148.0.20250913182929_VS1O-factory.zip

Following the instructions dilligently for OTA sideloading including USB debuging and bootloader unlock etc etc, (the instructions, by the way, are missing multiple steps and explanations about lots of little things…not good, it really needs to be updated).

According to https://support.fairphone.com/hc/en-us/articles/18896094650513-How-to-manually-install-Android-on-your-Fairphone it mentions running “./sideload_update.command", however that file doesn’t exist in the FP6 FPOS zip file at this link: https://android-builds.fairphone.com/FP6/A15/FP6.QREL.15.148.0.20250913182929_VS1O-factory.zip

I’ve browsed and searched through the unzipped FP6 FPOS file and can’t find that “sideload_update.command” filename anywhere so I’m a bit mystified as to how anyone can successfully OTA sideload FPOS onto the FP6. If I’m downloading the wrong file please let me know.

The FP6 doesn’t support firmware update via sideloading. You need to go the “fastboot” way!
Anyway for switching from a custom OS (e.g. eOS) the fastboot method is mandatory!

It’s only offered for the FP3(+).
