I’m having a recurring issue with my Fairphone 6. Whenever I unlock it using the fingerprint sensor (with my thumb), the touchscreen sometimes doesn’t respond for about 5–10 seconds.
The phone itself isn’t frozen — for example, if a video is playing, it keeps running normally — but I can’t tap or swipe anywhere during that time.
If I immediately lock the screen again using the power button and then unlock it once more, everything works perfectly right away.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a known fix or workaround for it?
Subject: Screen refresh rate still drops after unlock (FP6 QREL.15.148.0)
Hi everyone,
According to the update notes for FP6 QREL.15.148.0, the screen refresh rate issue was supposed to be fixed. However, I’m still experiencing a noticeable slowdown after unlocking the phone with the fingerprint scanner.
The display feels stuck at a very low refresh rate (maybe around 10 Hz, just to give an idea). The only way to get back to a smooth 120 Hz experience is to quickly turn the screen off and on again.
Has anyone else noticed this after the latest update?
As you can read they are working on this, which means they take care. And not everyone is experiencing it or to the same extend, so it seems there are different causes and to fix they have to reproduce. So did you yourself report it and completed the survey?
This is supposed to be fixed with Software Update: FP6.QREL.15.151.0 📲
If it is not fixed for you, please note it here and write the fairphone support.
it would still be helpful @Fairphone_CM to comment on what was fixed exactly as it was already mentioned more than once that “an issue” was fixed with an update…
Today’s morning I’ve installed the newest update, whole day without a single refresh rate drop issue, seems like it works, hopefuly it stays like that.
(solved, wrong setting I was using) After the latest software install I can not disable the AoD (I had it on as I could not stand the issue). Even after toggling it off it is still on. Anyone with the same problem?
Tried also rebooting phone.
