New to FP6 and Android16: are there any ideas to add more app grid options? For example 6x5 (6 vertical) may be interesting for having a more compact experience. In my old OnePlus Nord (Android 11) I was using it.
Quickstep (I’m assuming that you are using the default launcher) is pretty basic, though I rarely use others.
I suggest that you check out other Android launchers.
I use Nova launcher and Octopi launcher. Both have the ability to give you lots of rows and columns.
There was an exodus from Nova to other launchers until Nova became reinvigorated earlier this year. I found both did what I needed (lots of apps on a crowded screen - I use a 9x8 grid, plus a bottom dock).
I can endorse Nova, I’ve used it for years, including its predecessor ADW. Endlessly configurable and very flexible. Settings also transfer easily, I’ve just upgraded to a FP6 and the whole launcher configuration and layout is as it was on my old FP3.
I definitely recommend Nova launcher - so much customisation - I love it! Used it for years! You can back up your config so if you change phones in the future you can copy the config over. Give it a go.
Thank you all, I’ll take a look at different launchers since the native one also lacks of double tap to lock and consumes a lot of energy. By chance, has any of you a suggestion of a launcher that is open source (better if on F-Droid) or at least does not contain adivertising trackers?

How about Lawnchair? Definitely has grid customisation, and uniform app icon shapes too.
