Thanks for being added to the forum. My newly purchased FP6 eOS worked on all areas except sending/receiving images in the default messaging app. Trying to set the SMSC number manually, the SIMs turned grey. Factory reset did not release the greyed out SIMs setting. I wonder if it is any fix I can do, or the phone most likely have to sent back to Fairphone. If it is most likely the latter, I just drop it in the mail. The respons from Fairphone seems to drag on.

Can you take out the SIM and check another?
Is your SIM-card older than 2 years?
Its an esim installed when I got the phone.

On the Murena /e/OS forum, there is a similar topic. It looks like switching to another messaging app might be a solution, at least for sending and receiving images.
Can you borrow a physival SIM to see if this helps to get access to the SIM settings back? Did you keep the eSIM when resetting the phone?
I have no easy access to a sim card. I can order one, it take almost a week to get it. Keeping/not keeping the esim during factory reset was no option as the the SIMe setting was locked.
