FP6 can't find my bluetooth headphones

Just got a new Fairphone 6 and I’m trying to connect my wireless headphones (which work perfectly with my old FP3) and no matter what I try they just don’t appear in the available devices list. I did try restarting the phone, turning off/on the headphones, etc. Anything else I can try?

And you initited the BT search/connection on the headphones as well? Can you reset them? Is the FP3 close and maybe connecting?

Yes I reset them and I make sure that they are on BT mode and nearby, just as I did when connecting them to the FP3. And no, my FP3 is turned off so it’s not connecting to them.

Risking the repetition here, my BT devices need to be put in pairing mode before connecting to new devices. Annoyingly I never remember how to set this mode and end up either researching old manuals or just pressing all possible buttons.

When you say BT mode, you mean initiating pairing or just BT on?

Indeed I needed to search the manual, pairing mode was different from bluetooth mode. Problem solved. Thanks for the help.
