FP6 battery BTB connector reference needed for external charging adapter

Hello everyone. My Fairphone 6 is not currently charging. I have an extra OEM battery - I bought one after the issue appeared along with USB-C charging ports to try to fix the issue - it didn’t. I have pretty much the exact same problem. And I search also for a solution to charge the battery externallyif possible because I’m out of Europe for few weeks so cannot send the phone for repair

No but i have pretty much the same problem. My FP6 stopped charging suddenly and after extensive testing (multiple chargers, cables, replacing the USB module), I think it might be motherboard issue .
Since I’m stuck abroad for 2 months without access to official repair services, I’m looking for a temporary workaround: I want to remove the battery and charge it externally,

I think the problem is that the FP6 battery uses a BTB connector with multiple tiny pins and not compatible with universal chargers.

So I though to create a simple charging adapter that clips onto the BTB connector, with two wires going to an external Li-ion charger. But not sure it’s possible ??

So to do this I thought I needed the exact BTB connector part number/reference used on the FP6 battery

It would really help me and probably other FP6 users facing the same charging issue

Here’s one i made earlier: Quite a simple bit of kit, i’ll upload the files if anyone wants. Only thing about this chip is it charges to 4.2v and the fp4 battery is rated at 4.4v, so it will only charge it to 85%. Arguably better in the long run anyway and I just happened to have the IC lying around so that was what I used. [IMG_20260525_135544_1] [IMG_20260428_124104_1]

So someone already built a similar external charging adapter for the FP4. I’ve just reached out to them to see if it works for the FP6 too. Really appreciate it, thank you!

The FP4 takes external batteries that can be charged by any universal phone charger that has movable leads, Amazon is filled with those:
