Hey, I bought a FP5 with Murena EOS and I have problems with installing some apps: spotify snapchat, Firefox, brave Browser,… The APP Lounge refuses the Installation and aurora store writes “APP for this device not available”
The link provided by Ingo seems to be about permission for using mobile data. @John_McOcker are you using mobile data or Wi-Fi? The latter is usually best when installing and updating apps.
Apart from that, yes there is discussion in the Murena forum specifically on the FP5/App Lounge problem. As partially mentioned above, one successful approach is to
Use Aurora and not App Lounge (for apps from Play store)
In Aurora, use the “Spoof Manager” option, and
Choose the phone model ‘Nothing Phone(1)’ instead of the FP5.
Apparently that problem concerns the way that the phone is being identified by the store, and a correction is expected in /e/OS 3.3.
Other possibly relevant topics, mostly problems encountered on FP5 with 3.2:
I had this same problem, (with FP5 e/os), and discovered that indeed it related to installing apps over mobile data. App Lounge wouldn’t work and I had the same message on Aurora but when I switched to wifi everything installed as expected. Some time later I realised that installing over mobile data had also started working again. I am in France and the only app that stubbornly refused to install was the new Carte Vitale app. For that I downloaded the .apk and of course, now it updates fine from App Lounge over wifi and mobile data. Go figure…
