FP5 main mic is dead

I recently started the service support ticket of my FP5 because from one day to the other my phone started to receive only a strange noise through the mic which sounds like a helicopter. Tried every possible solution that the support provided within a day through no avail. I triedd to check what could be the issue under the hood, so opened the phone carefully disassembled the bottom part and when I touched the red cable of the bottom PCB it came off easily, tearing off the connector from the PCB with itself. I didn’t used much force it just came off, the other two cables were came off without hassle.

The only thing I could think of that could cause an issue like this is heat, because the red cable is so close to the battery and in the hot summer this year, the phone warned me many times when I drove for hours with its GPS that its overheating and shut off the charging. Then maybe the resonances of the everyday usage slowly weakened the soldering or what are these tiny connectors held in place with.

All-in-all, I need to buy a secondary phone because my mobile provider cannot give me a temporary phone. So, in my country they don’t care about sustainability at all. Buy a spare and tuck it in a drawer if you need it, but then it’s slowly degrading and dying to become another hazardous waste. Sometimes I just want to get back in time when there were less electronic devices around and a more simple life.
