I have a question relating to the camera app. I thought it was just not a very good camera, but I realized that by default it opens in the 7 MP (full screen) mode instead of the 50 MP (4:3) mode. For some reason, every time I set it to 50 MP, the app does not retain the settings… This is really annoying as for the most part I would always like the highest quality setting. Am I missing something? Is this a bug or a feature?

while the high pixel mode seems to require manual adjustment each time, all the other options should stay. Please check whether 13 MP would not fulfil your expectations.
You cant preserve it, however you know you dont need to set it through the settings? Use the hamburger menu to adjust the bottom selection to have it directly behind Video as option
I honestly never noticed that! While I would like the setting to be remembered this is a nice shortcut. Thank you
