FP4, NFC, and induction charging?

Hello everyone,

A new question from me today:

Generally, I was wondering whether induction charging is possible via NFC?

From what I read, it seems possible. Although apparently at a very slow rate.

Then my next question: is it possible to charge a FP4 in this way?

Thanks for your answers.

From my understanding of physics, it is theoretically possible, since both NFC and wireless charging both use induction as the underlying principle.

In practice, I don’t think it’s possible without board modifications. The NFC coil is not attached to the charging circuit. You’d probably need to design a bridge module that would decide whether to use NFC or wireless charging and then pass the signal to the appropriate module.

Hello everybody, hello kwasow,

And thanks to you for this physics lesson!
That was more than I expected!
For sure, I definitely learnt something.

And now I’m sure that I didn’t miss something in my two attempts to load my FP4 via induction.

Thanks!

Cheers!
