FP3 stuck on first screen

Hello there,

After an update, my FP3 is stuck on the “fairphone” logo and after some time (30s maybe) it reboots and starts again.

I can use the Vol- and Power to get in fastboot mode, but any option is useless :

  • start : restart phone as previously said
  • restart bootloader : get me back in fastboot mode
  • recovery mode : same as start
  • power off : power off phone

I opened it and separated each part and then rebuilt it as I read somewhere there could be some problem of electronic connection.

I tried to use “adb” but it doesn’t recognize any device.

Led is never on (blue or any color).

I would like to backup some data if possible (no SD card) and maybe try a factory reset ?

Thx,

Hey there,

is there any way for you to enter the recovery mode? Do you get there when you hold Vol up and power button at the same time (you should get to a screen with the android logo and the message “no command”, if you are there press power button and shortly Vol up again)? For me that sounds like a software issue. Is the booloader unlocked?

Adb only works if your phone is on and adb enabled (or with TWRP recovery). When your phone is in fastboot mode, you can work with fastboot commands. If your bootloader is locked though your options are limited.

Hope this helps,
Clemens

Hi,

Thanks for replying,

I can’t obtain android logo, phone never pass the “fairphone” logo. I tried VolUp + Power, and then releasing power, the other way, releasing VolUp. I tried your sequence without any better answer than fairphone logo.

Bootloader is not unlocked since I did nothing with it.

I really can’t understand how ppor designed those so-called smart-phones are : If my computer has a software problem, I format everything. With phones you can’t do such things

Did you try without releasing any of the buttons?

Oh yes, I kept buttons pushed (more than 3 minutes maybe ?) and it doesn’t do anything more than displaying the Fairphone logo
