Hi there!
I received a message on my Angel mailbox, a user is asking for help to solve a sound problem on her FP3+.
As I don’t have any experience with FP3 (I switched from FP2 to FP4), what can I suggest?
Good evening,
sorry to bother you, I’ve had a Fairphone 3+ for 4 years now, and it’s been about a year that when I make audios they don’t get very loud (like other people’s) but the main problem is that when I’m talking on speakerphone or during video calls I can’t hear it at all, while in normal calls there’s no problem. I think it goes back to when I went out in the rain and the phone got a bit wet: that evening I could no longer hear the music and the audio in general. So I changed the speaker module (bottom left) and solved it. Then over time I became aware of this problem with the speakerphone, but as it wasn’t indispensable I didn’t think of solving it. Lately I’ve been trying to find a solution, I changed the microphone module in the bottom centre but nothing changes. I’ve also cleaned the various parts, holes and general parts of the phone well with cotton wool and alcohol. I thought it might also be centred on the top microphone near the camera but it doesn’t seem to have any faults, plus it’s the only place where if I get close and speak loudly with the speakerphone I can be heard, albeit with some background buzz.
Do you have any advice on what to do? Is there any connection to other modules? Or maybe it’s simply that some water has run out somewhere and there’s not much I can do about it.
I hope I have explained myself well enough.
Thank you for your helpfulness
