Forgive me if i’m duplicating but need simple answer, don’t understand stuff like rooting.
When i receive a text on FP2 there’s no light indication as there is on the FP1.
Do i need to turn something on?
I’m using the messaging app that’s already installed on the phone.

Does your LED light up while charging? If not the LED may be defect.
Otherwise check the app’s settings. Those are usually found when tapping on a sign with three dots or three lines.
I don’t use any preinstalled messenger so I can’t tell you any specifics.
