FP2 suddenly resets to factory settings while calling

This is the FairPhone 2 of my wife. She was calling a friend. Suddenly the phones stop the call and begin the reset to factory settings. Has anyone an idea what might happen?
All the apps, settings, files, pictured, movies, music etc. is wipped.

This is the second FP I have with crashed.I don’t trust the phones anymore as I mentoined somewhere else on the forum

Did the screen turn off near the ear? If not, your ear can do unwanted functions. In that case, you have to recalibrate the proximity sensor.

Yeah but a complete factory reset done by an ear shouldn’t be possible in my opion
