I would like the slider to engage the silent sound profile, but when I set it to that in my setting it just goes into do not disturb, which is not the same thing. I would like to still receive all my notifications, just without sound or vibration. When I set it to toggle between ring and vibrate profiles it has no issue, but for some reason silent just engaged do no disturb. Is this a bug or just silent profile as I think of it does not exist?
I need full silence, not even vibrating during work, but need all my notifications to still some though I’m order to do my job.
Yes I think so however when you silence calls you automatically silence notifications. While you can adjust the Vol seperately as long calls are not silwnt, notifications sound still is connected to call sound and disabled once calls are set to no sound.
You might still be able to use DnD to allow specific Apps.
I am doing the same, but you can customize the “do not disturb” mode for allowing notifications.
Just bearn in mind that sometimes the slider may be in “active” position, but the phone may not be in do not disturb mode. This happens for example when you reboot the phone.
Sorry I didn’t specify I am looking to have silent calls and notifications, just not do not disturb. But I will check out messing with the settings and see how it goes!
I have since found how to put the phone into silent from the volume menu, and if I have it in silent mode and then switch the slider, it stays as is and goes out of silent mode when I slide up, so if it’s already in silent mode it doesn’t engage do not disturb, but keeps silent mode, and goes back to vibrate as I slide the switch up
