It may be that as long as you re-install the standard supplied Android then it is unreasonable for support to deal with any complaint as they could not replicate the issue without doing a full overwrite of the OS, which I imagine they would do if the phone had to be sent back to the factory, so the installation of a different OS doesn’t void the warranty but you won’t get standard support with a different one ~ makes sense.
