I bought a Fairphone 5 just a few weeks ago. I hadn’t needed/tested the flashlight yet.
Today I tried turning on the flashlight (with the shortcut in the top drawer), got a short flash and then nothing. Would the light already be broken?
I tried changing settings in the camera app, I tried some 3rd party flashlight apps, I deleted the settings of the camera app, … but no light. I did noticed that the camera THINKS the flash is working, as the EXIF data in my pictures says “Flash fired”.
Hoping that it’s a not a hardware problem, otherwise this would be the fastest module replacement of all the Fairphones I’ve owned…
