FB Messenger camera doesn't focus

When taking photos with Facebook Messenger, the camera refuses to focus. Anyone else with this issue?

I moved this to #fairphone2help until it is confirmed that this is not a problem with a third party app.

I’m assuming that you have a FP2? Your original post didn’t say anything about your model.

Does the camera work correctly in other apps?

PS.: Facebook is known to cause problems:

Since its last update, the Facebook app causes severe problems like phone freezes, crashes, battery drain, problems with instagram etc. (see here for example) If you lately experience issues like this, just uninstall the app. Probably your problems are solved.

I have the same problem, and it has moved into the Facebook app itself with the latest update

I have an FP2. The camera works fine in the Facebook app but not in the Facebook Messenger app. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it but it didn’t help.

Do you have the latest fb update with the snapchat like statuses? Mine was fine till that update, but I think they’ve taken the messenger camera code…
