Faulty USB port on my FP2


Since Saturday (17 Dec, 2016) my USB port has been acting strangely. Suddenly, while charging, it disconnects and stops charging the battery, regardless which USB cabel I use connected to the socket or a laptop. I highly suspect the USB port is faulty. I bought the phone in April 2016.

Shall I send it back to be repaired, do I still have a guarantee? Or can you send me a spare part with instructions for me to make the reparation myself?

For warranty repairs / official support you’ll need to open a support ticket with Fairphone support. They may ask for some additional tests to determine how best to solve the issue, but basically the options you mention are all possible outcomes based on the reports by others here on the forum.
