My Fairphone 5 (last update april 5 2026, security update at 28-4-2026), does not charge fast anymore, only normal. I Use a Fairphone charger, so that cannot be the cause of the problem. Until now the phone could be charged fast with the Fairphone charger. I guess the problem arose after the last security update.
What exactly means ‘does not charge fast’?
Are you using the same cable? Does it seat properly in the USB port? Did you try to clean it?
It is solved. I had to restart my phone, In fact there was een request to restart and after I did the charge function was fast again.
I did not try to clean it. I use a Fairphone cable and a Fairphone charger, with this combination my phone always charged in the fast mode. Suddenly it had switched to normal.
