I dropped my fairphone5 down the stairs and since then it holds a much shorter charge than before. It used to last 3 days and all the way to the end. Now it’s barely a day and from 20% it drops in a few minutes. Any idea what could have been affected ?

A refund for accidentally dropping your phone? Do you have an additional assurance for self-caused damage?

The 1st thing I would try is to power off the phone, remove the battery, re install the battery and power it on again. If that doesn’t solve the problem, then install a replacement battery. I have had no experience of this nor heard of anyone who has, but the only thing that I can surmise may have happened is that the fall down the stairs may have damaged one of the battery electrodes thus reducing it’s effective capacity. If this is the case there also may be a potential danger of the battery spontaniously combusting and starting a fire, so replacement may be a wise move anyway.
