Hello from Seattle; happy user of an FP5 here on a platform called Mint Mobile. A bit slow to respond, because I tend to just see the email summaries, and Iām almost 100 messages behind in my inbox.
I recognize that the discussion was about the 6, so I donāt know how pertinent my situation is. I got it, I think, around November the year it was released; 2-3 months after it was available in the EU. Havenāt noticed any real problems, either on Android or after going to e/os not quite two years ago; I did have to switch carriers when I first got it, though.
Looking forward to as many functional years as I can squeeze out of it.
I donāt see a way on the FP site to send suggestions without pretending to be a member of the press or creating an unnecessary support ticket. Does anyone have a sense of whether there could be enough demand in the US for them to make older phone parts available in our store?
Maybe now that theyāre set up here, the EU store is authorized to ship to us, but I wouldnāt bet on it. I would love to be able to take advantage of the repair aspect of this phone whenever the time comes, but so far have assumed Iād have to try and negotiate something with a generous forum user over there.
It is unlikely, however when you create a support ticket when you canāt provide an IMEI for the fairphone 6+ it does allow to select other devices and report your issue with a promise āto see what can be doneā. I wouldnāt want to overpromise, because I think what mostly will happen is that if you have a 6 they will tell you that a spare part you can buy for the 6+ is the sameā¦
