Today, Fairphone is holding a press conference at IFA Berlin. The only think we really know, is that they tease to have made a big step towards more sustainable phones and that they informed some pre order customers, that their phone is delayed a bit, but will come with improvements.
Here is my bet: The long promised camera upgrade is finally coming – and current orders might get the update for free.

The conference is at 11am, not 9:30.
Another logical choice would be a more powerful (longer lasting) battery.
And I would guess, they may have improved on the production line (better working conditions, quality contro …l).
Finally I would guess, that they might announce partnerships/agreements with major telephone companies

Looks exciting! I hope that Fairphoners in Berlin can buy the module directly at IFA…
I look forward to reading reviews of the camera and I wonder if it suits both the old and the new covers 
I will order the new camera and check the results myself. I think it’s a really good steps and I hope it is successful and I can order a new main module with an new processor sometime.
