Drei FP3 und zwei FP4 waren beim jüngsten Stammtisch versammelt. Und das neue Gesicht in der Runde hatte gleich ein verblüffendes und leider hartnäckiges Problem dabei: Nach Defekt der ursprünglichen Hauptkamera wollte das Upgrade auf das Kameramodul 3+ partout nicht gelingen - das FP3 weigerte sich, es zu erkennen. Alles mögliche war bereits zusammen mit dem Fairphone-Support ausprobiert worden, und leider waren auch unsere vielfältigen Tests zum Haareraufen. Das neue Modul funktionierte in unserem Aachener Community-FP3 … unser eigenes altes Modul (12 MP) funktionierte im FP3 unseres Stammtischneulings … aber auch ein anderes Kameramodul 3+ funktionierte zwar in unserem, aber nicht in seinem FP3 (Android 13 installiert, Kamera-App-Cache immer und immer wieder gelöscht und und und …). So blieb letztendlich nur, unser altes Modul in seinem Fairphone zu belassen – damit zumindest überhaupt wieder eine Hauptkamera genutzt werden kann. Auf unsere Empfehlung hin wurde dann noch ein GCam-Port hinzugefügt in der Hoffnung, die Enttäuschung über das renitent streikende Hardwareupgrade so etwas kompensieren zu können. Und dennoch war’s ein schöner und langer Stammtischabend! 
Three FP3s and two FP4s got together at our latest meetup. And the new face at our table came up with an astonishing and unfortunately stubborn issue: After the original main camera had gone borken, the upgrade to a 3+ camera module kept failing – the FP3 refused to recognize it. Everything thinkable had already been tried following Fairphone Support suggestions, and unfortunately our own range of tests left us clueless. The new module worked in our Aachen Community FP3 … our own original module (12 MP) worked in the Fairphoner’s FP3 … but another 3+ module worked just in our, but not in his FP3 (Android 13 installed, camera app cache repeatedly cleared and and and …). So eventually the only thing we could do was keeping our old camera module in his Fairphone – so at least he’s got a working main camera again. On our advice, he also added a GCam port, hoping to alleviate the disappointment at least a bit. And despite only being able to provide a halfway satisfying solution, we had quite a great and long meetup evening!
