I contacted support by chataa couple of days ago and I could only speak with the robot. But weirdly after, it stopped failing. Still I’d recommend reporting the case so it gets acknowledgement and goes for a fix. Specially for us who can blame the latest software update.
I see no mention in this thread of the Touch sensitivity setting (in Display), which is supposed to help with screen protectors. Have you all tried using it?
Already tried all the settings.
Seems not to do anything unfortunately.
Don’t want to jinx it but since yesterday’s update I did not see it yet. Also temperature raised and I noticed it mostly when it was colder.
Anyone else thinks it’s fixed?

Tried the sensitivity option but it’s not helping.

Hi, I have had this issue for a month or two at least maybe longer. I can be scrolling through an app and the screen stops responding or reacting to my touch. If I press the lock button on the side and press it again to unlock it is fine. It is quite wearing over time…frustration builds bit by bit. I have the phone less than a year and updated it when updates have come in. Any solutions for this? It makes the phone feel slow. I want to recommend it to people but things like this make it hard.
I regret to say I’m running the latest version of FPOS released a few days ago and I’m still having this issue from time to time. It might be happening less often, but it still happens.
I have had the same issue since i started using my new Fairphone 6. I use my phone without a screen protector. At first I thought i was only imagining it, but it started getting more clearly noticeable: the screen will suddenly not respond while scrolling or typing. Happens about ten to twenty times a day, will last anywhere between a second and a minute. I don’t see any relation between temperature and this behaviour like other users.
Extremely annoying. It feels as if i have bought some cheap, glitchy phone. Really starting to regret my purchase. My old OnePlus 8 felt ten times more reliable and premium. Having a repairable, responsible and fair phone is worth having a little extra patience and credit, but this is almost becoming too much, combined with all the other downsides i’m experiencing. Come on Fairphone, you have to fix this!
Unfortunately, I’m having the same issue. The latest update, released at the beginning of March, didn’t fix the problem. I also use the screen protector with privacy filter from Fairphone. Sometimes a day goes by without a screen glitch. Other days, it happens several times in a row. It doesn’t matter if I’m scrolling through Instagram, writing a message, or doing anything else. It seems to happen randomly. 
I really love my Fairphone, but this is just annoying. It feels like I have an old phone. If anyone finds a solution, please let me know! I don’t know if the operating system has anything to do with it, but perhaps the Android 16 update will fix this? 
Once again, I have installed the Android 16 update on my FP6 and the issue persists. 
Same here, I have the issue few times per week! What a shame
Since updating to A16 the gesture navigation stops working every once in a while. Scrolling becomes iffy at the same time, but I can click links and zoom in/out, for example. Feels like it freezes, but some functions remain.
Locking and unlocking the phone resolves the issue.

My wife who also have a fairphone got much annoying screen glitching issues : in some apps, touch stops completely.
The touch input is transmitted as we see the animation, but the touch doesn’t trigger the button.
It’s happening randomly in many apps.
Apps that weren’t updated. Other that were. Unpredictable. Varies from time to time.
Reboot temporary helps.
It’s getting ridiculous… what are the devs doing ?
How on earth could it be difficult to ship an update that doesn’t break more things ?
How is this possible ?
And I’m not going to say anything about the ugly look of the new icons…

I’ve got the same issue. My screen sometimes stops responding to touch input and I have to turn the screen off and on again to resolve the issue.
Same problem since the latest update incl Android 16. Screen doesn’t register taps on certain areas. Last time It seemed to be the entire lower right quarter of the screen. Couldn’t use the keyboard etc.
Had a perfectly fine phone until the last update. Now this and the DNS problem. Extremely annoying.
I’m also affected. I really thought it would just be up to me. Unfortunately, this can’t be debugged, because it’s unpredictable. And If the Device’s not working, activating debugging is quiet impossible. What now?
There’s a display glass on it, but I’ve had it for a very long time. The glitch was obviously added with the update to Android 16
I do not have any protector on the screen. It’s the software.

Sometimes, when i unlock my fp6, the screen is unresponsive.
I have to either wait 5 seconds or turn off/turn on the screen to be able to use it again.
I had this issue on stock OS, and also have it on unofficial LOS.
