Fairphone 6, problems with getting several apps from appstore

Hei!

I have problems with downloading several apps from Play store. Started with not letting me update them. This is Linkedin and AirBnB.

Anyone having the same problem, ore having a solution?

Hello and welcome to the community forum
You mentioned App Store, which OS you’re using?

It is of course Play Store. Using the Google oppsett.

Changed it now in the intro. Thank you

Ok, thanks, I am on FP5, just downloaded Linkedin and no issues. Are you using WiFi or mobile data?

Tried with WiFi and mobildata. Also tested restart etc. And there is enough storage space.

I’m on FP6 with standard Android OS. I’m using LinkedIn for years, never had an issue downloading and using it with my PF6 from the beginning, i.e. from June 2025.

I can’t tell about Airbnb as I don’t use it.

Cheers

Can you provide screenshots of any error messages etc?

Here is the error I always gets.

Hi Ingvild,
but that’s no installation error or denying certain apps, but saying you don’t have internet. I don’t know how exact that message is, but it says WiFi and mobile data are not activated.

Norwegian → English of the message:

Something went wrong
No internet connection. Check that Wi-Fi or mobile data is turned on, and try again.

You say that also happens if mobile data is active and you have internet reception via mobile data, right? Otherwise, if only WiFi, it could be related to a certain WiFi issue on FP6: DNS over TLS/IPv6 issues- Apps don't load data over Wifi

Besides, you could try to “reset” the Play Store app:
Settings → Apps → all apps → Google Play Store → Storage & Cache → Clear cache.
Then one step back (Settings → Apps → all apps → Google Play Store) → Force stop.
Try to start the app again and see if it helped.

One step harder resetting: Instead of “Clear cache”, click “Clear storage”, and confirm. Just tried at my phone, still works afterwards, no new login or anything like this required (it did need a few seconds though, and first showed “unknown error” at looking for updates, got there after maybe 10s).
Then start the app again
