Fairphone 6 bluetooth to hearing aids

Hi –

Trying to get my Fairphone 6 running E-OS to connect to my hearing aids. Bluetooth sees them, and tells me they’re connected, but the sound stills plays through the phone, not the aids.

If I go Settings / Sound and vibration, for example, Under Media volume I get:
Play BBC Sounds on
Thomas’s Hearing (my hearing aids)
If I press that, I get a screen showing the media, and under that a slider showing the volume level on ‘This phone’ and under that another one, no volume, for Thomas’s Hearing – but if I press that I get the ‘loading’ rotating circle endlessly …

Any ideas?

What do you see when you go to the app Settings, Connected devices, Bluetooth.
And then tap on your connected hearing aid.
Perhaps you have an option there to select audio.

Hi Lidwien –
I’ve looked further and I think the issue is E-OS does not (currently) support bluetooth LE (‘Low Energy’) devices, which is the wireless standard for hearing aids. So I’ll have to wait in hope for a fix at some later date …
