Fairphone 6 Android Enterprise Support

I’m looking at getting a FP6 to use with android enterprise, but it currently isn’t showing as an android enterprise recommended device so my work won’t approve it.

Anyone know why it’s not approved, and if/when it’ll be added to the Android approved list?

It says all over the FP website that Fairphone is Android Enterprise Recommended, which doesn’t stack up if the flagship model isn’t.

You should better ask Fairphone directly.

The FP6 specifications (not always easy to find at first attempt, it takes a little swiping/scrolling down before it becomes visible in the top bar at https://shop.fairphone.com/the-fairphone-gen-6) list it as AER:

So I guess it is already approved, but might not have made yet it into the list you are talking about. To find out when this might happen, I would second what Yvonne said – ask Support.

Thanks, that’s really helpful

It’s Google’s own list, so I’ll try contacting them.

Did you get a reply in the meantime from either Fairphone or Google?

I have a support ticket open with Fairphone. In July, the answer was, that the process would take longer (but they didn’t answer whether it was the process of getting certified or the process of publishing said certification). Since then, I’m put off every time I ask again.

Afraid not, I couldn’t find contact details on the Google site. Now FP4 has Android 15 it’s supported again by my work, so I don’t need to upgrade any time soon.

Since last week, the Fairphone 6 is now on the list. Unfortunately, I have no insight in why it took so long.
