The latest Android 14 available, FP5.UT2K.B.098
Hello,
Due to an error on my part, my Fairphone 5 is locked in FastBoot Mode.
The DEVICE STATE is locked
Iām trying to unlock the bootloader:
fastboot.exe flashing unlock
FAILED (remote: 'Flashing Unlock is not allowed
')
fastboot: error: Command failed
fastboot.exe flashing unlock_critical
FAILED (remote: ' Device already : unlocked!')
fastboot: error: Command failed
My Bootloader version : FP5.UT2K.B.098.20250109
I canāt reinstall my OS. I had iodeOS.
Just to clarify:
fastboot.exe oem device-info
(bootloader) Verity mode: true
(bootloader) Device unlocked: false
(bootloader) Device critical unlocked: true
(bootloader) Charger screen enabled: true
OKAY [ 0.018s]
Finished. Total time: 0.020s
Can you please help me?
Thank you for your help.
Did you try fastboot oem allow-flashing?
fastboot oem allow-flashing
FAILED (remote: 'unknown command')
fastboot: error: Command failed
Is it possible to boot the phone on a bootloader other than your own, i.e. boot on a boot.img of the PC?
Is custom avb keys supported on the fairphone 5?
I am having a similar issue but I canāt run the fastboot flashing unlock command. Does anyone have any recommendations on what to do? Is my phone bricked?
fastboot oem device-info
(bootloader) Verity mode: true
(bootloader) Device unlocked: false
(bootloader) Device critical unlocked: false
(bootloader) Charger screen enabled: true
OKAY [ 0.000s]
This is what happens when I try the fasboot oem allow-flashing
fastboot oem allow-flashing
FAILED (remote: 'unknown command')
fastboot: error: Command failed
When I try fastboot flashing unlock I get
fastboot flashing unlock
FAILED (remote: 'Flashing Unlock is not allowed
')
fastboot: error: Command failed
So the later command seems to be a recognized command, it just isnāt working. Iām assuming this method isnāt working because the āDevice critical unlocked: falseā
What are you trying to accomplish? Is your FP5 working and booting or not? What System do you have installed in which version?
I am trying to get the phone to boot into an os, instead of being stuck in fastboot⦠I had successfully installed calyxos (version 6.8.21), but locked the bootloader because I didnāt think it was necessary to leave unlocked anymore. The FP5 is booting, but it just immediately launches into fastboot
Ok so it might be it doesnt work with Calyx or the command removed in general
If its not working, you can contact FP and send it in to Cordon and have them reinstall FPOS. That should cost approx 50ā¬.
Based on that thread I think you are correct. I appreciate you taking the time to reply.
