Fairphone 4, wifi connexion with VPN in China

Hello,

I have a problem, I’m currently in China so I use a vpn to access my applications when I’m on wifi. Unfortunately this makes the connection almost impossible, whereas my friend with a Samsung and the same vpn has no problem.

If anyone has been to China with their Fairphone and can help me out

I went to China with my FP3 two years ago and the VPN I chose at the time was working fine. What do you mean by “almost” impossible ?
Do you have custom DNS configured ?

I’m connected to the wifi and my vpn is activated but if I go on youtube the page doesn’t refresh and my vpn keeps disconnecting/reconnecting. At first I thought it was the vpn but I’ve tried 3 …

Is it with different Wifis or one? Wondering if any router setting can cause this

Does your friend is connected to the same wifi ?

I’ve just tried another friend’s vpn today and it finally works! So for information if I can help future people: nordvpn, express vpn, cyberghostvpn, does not work on my fairphone but on my friend’s Samsungs and iphones they work.

I currently have let’s vpn which finally works on fairphone !!
