I finally managed to turn my second Fairphone 4 into a brick with only EDL mode working and it’s great!
I assume, it wasn’t a smart idea to downgrade from latest Android 15 Fairphone OS to Android 13 AXP.OS… I felt that something went wrong because I wasn’t able to flash any other recovery but it booted fine with the usual message of “need to factory reset the data” and after that… black screen, no light and on Windows, it shows me the FIBOCOM USB diagnostics where I knew…
“NICE… EDL… I did it… big brain move…”
Or maybe it wasn’t a good idea to use a phone for that and I’d better just waited a bit longer until I was home…
Anyways uhm… yeah, I’d like to ask for help to unbrick… maybe…
I read somewhere at bkerler that xbl.elf is the firehose für the EDL but doesn’t really work and random tools I tried like QFIL or EFS Professional didn’t really helped…
Weird to me, everyone talks about 9008 but I get a 900E soo… yeah…
BTW, I am from Germany, I would prefer to learn and fix myself, not my first EDL time but the first time with Qualcomm, before I always had MTK or AMlogic so… just saying, ICE I’d also get a professional service for unbrick but I don’t know where, maybe some of you guys have some recommendations that’s why I tell you, where I’m from ^^
