Fairphone 3 Linux "Offline update" script does not work

A long time ago my system upgrade failed. I was trying to follow the article FP3(+). Install Fairphone OS offline, but the script does not seem to have any hope of working.

In particular, when I extract the archive, the linux-x86 folder is completely empty. Therefore running

sudo ./FP3_flashall
sh: 1: ./linux-x86/fastboot: not found

there is a fastboot in the macos directory, but it is malformed and won’t run, even if I move it to the linux directory. Does anybody know where I can get a script/archive version that will actually work?

Thanks, that worked! But I wish the official release was working :frowning:

I have filed a bug report about this with the Fairphone support not too long ago.
Not sure if they are going to fix the current package but I assume the next update will bring a working install ZIP again. There is no announced date yet but there might be a November update.

Thanks, I really appreciate it! I didn’t know they had a bug tracker, could you link me to it please?

It’s not a public bugtracker where one would see all existing issues, just the support contact form: https://support.fairphone.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

There’s an FP3-REL-Q-3.A.0129-20210805.135600-user-fastbootimage_v2.7z currently available at https://support.fairphone.com/hc/en-us/articles/360048050332 … with a once again populated linux-x86 folder.
Don’t know how long it’s been there.
