In short: yes.
Seems to be ‘normal’ in most cases. If it causes problems, I’d suggest contacting support.

For me, I don’t have this issue in my home Wifi, but if I connect to public Wifis, then it normally gets hot. Same happened at my parents’ Wifi with older and slower link speed. So since I have this issue only when speed (public Wifi) or link speed (parents’ Wifi) is low at the same time, I guess it may have to do with the throughput of the selected Wifi network.
