Hello Fairphone Company,
i am very disappointed about the message that no more spare parts will be produced. This year i bougt a new battery for my fairphone 1. thank got i did that.
but the knowledge, that in at the latest 2 1/2 years i can throw this phone away, because there are no more batteries available makes me feel really betrayed.
i bougt the fp1 because of the idea of sustainability and now i must assert, that the cellphone i had before (a simple nokia, that lasted 7 years) was more sustainable than the fairphone??
like many other people i feel disappointed and i cannot understand the decision not to at least still produce batteries, as the battery is the part in the phone whose life end is determined.
i do not care so much about software but spare parts like the battery??? what led you to this decision, i cannot understand this!!!
i would support the idea of an other user to crowdfund the production of batteries for fp1!!
but sadly i must now stop promotion for my till now good functioning fp1.
apart from that my trust in fairphone is gone and i will not buy fp2 or 3.
3 years for a “sustainable phone” is nothing in my opinion. so many other phones last much longer than 3 years.
Please find a way to at least replace the battery for FP1.
regards, maria
