As a big fan of Fairphone, I was excited about the Fairbuds XL’s modular design and repairability. But, since their May 2023 release, the audio quality and features feel less competitive compared to newer headphones.
I’d love to invest in Fairphone headphones I can keep for years. Are there any updates or rumors about a Fairbuds XL refresh? An update to audio, ANC, and features would be amazing. Also, a simple matte black option would be fantastic!

Rumour has it that by the end of the year some interesting things may be presented. But I can’t call it more than a rumour.

And you don’t have to buy a new Fairbuds XL, necessarily

The only upgrade the fairbuds xl needs are arms that don’t snap every two months. I am on my fifth broken set in a year and waiting for a month on customer support to let me know replacements are on the way. It’s infuriating because that is literally the only problem I have with them, extremely happy, if only the didn’t snap all the time.
